Traditional Flagstone – by definition should be carried out by a Stone professional not a Carpet Cleaner. Good Stone tile knowledge is essential for identification purposes.
Traditional Flagstone Cleaning is and should be a sympathetic process. Many of the existing marks and colouring will and should remain after cleaning. Flagstones always tell a story of the past. This should never be removed.
Traditional Flagstone cleaning involves the initial appraisal of the degree of wear, contamination and desired final appearance.
We fully renovate, rejuvenate and restore all categories of Traditional Flagstone. These usually are Cotswold. Blue Lias. York. Welsh Pennant. Lincoln
Methods used depend on the size of Job and Location in the property.
We protect all adjacent surfaces for protection should they need it.
Traditional Flagstone will then be cleaned with a ph neutral detergent.
We remove any surface contamination, we then proceed to evaluate the first stages of Cleaning Process.
Purely ingrained contamination is removed by the introduction of slow rotational machinery and selected floor pads coupled up with a solution environmentally friendly detergent.
In Addition. Colour Enhancement can be administered should it be required.
In time with our in house processes we generate a surfaces that becomes bright and vibrant and clean again including the Grout Joints.
Joints are often completely removed and re-pointed.
Upon Force Drying the Surface finish is then defined. Natural waxes are used and Buffed to a Shine.
