Slate Cleaning – by definition should be carried out by a Stone professional not a Carpet Cleaner. Good Slate tile knowledge is essential for identification purposes.
Slate cleaning involves the initial appraisal of the degree of wear, contamination and desired final appearance.
Slate is Waterproof so Sealing is not essential in some cases. Good Quality Polishes suffice.
We fully renovate, rejuvenate and restore all categories of Slate.
Methods used depend on the size of Job and Location.
We protect all adjacent surfaces for protection should they need it.
Slate will then be cleaned with a ph neutral detergent.
Purely ingrained contamination is removed by the introduction of slow rotational machinery and selected floor pads coupled up with a solution of special detergent.
In Addition. Colour enhancement or intensity can be administered.
In time with our in house processes we generate a surface that becomes bright and vibrant and clean again including the Grout Joints.
Upon Force Drying the Surface finish is then defined. Either Matt finished with Fila Matt. Fila Satin or Fila Classic Gloss can be Applied.
Polished finish is with Fila or Lithofin polishing products.
